Compact Self Defense Baton

The compact self defense batons, or Kubatons as they are more commonly referred to are unlike an expandable baton in that it does not expand in length. Their purpose and use is different. While extendable batons are meant to be used while at a distance from an attacker, the kubaton is meant be used when instead the attacker is very close. At 5 inches long an 1/2 inch around they easy fit in the palm of the hand. The kubaton attaches to your keychain so it can be readily available in a pocket or purse at a moment's notice for self defense.

If a criminal gotten so close to you that nothing that you could be using at a distance would be effective- like pepper spay or like we have already mentioned the expandable baton- the kubaton is very effective breaking wrists or fingers or gauging eyes and ears - effectively getting them off of you and focused on the incredible amount of pain they will find themselves in.

As many self defense instructors will tell you, automobile or house keys can be very effective as well- this product is meant to act in the same way except that the kubaton will take far less force to do the damage necessary to get someone off of you.

These instructors may tell you that swinging keys in the face of an attacker will work well, so you have the room in your purse or pocket, you may want to attach your kubaton to an old set of keys to make it that much more effective. The idea behind using old keys is that should you need to drop them to get away you don't want someone with your actual house or car keys.

It is also useful to note that a kubaton can be ideal for situations where you simply have the ability to wear something more obvious for personal protection that you may normally prefer- like a stun gun, or canister of pepper spray.
