Getting the Lowdown on TASER ® Cartridges
TASER cartridges are a crucial portion of the TASER device setup. These cartridges hold the electrical prongs that will be propelled through the air on discharge. Manufacturers routinely recommend that each consumer should carry a spare cartridge clip on their person, just to ensure that they can quickly reload the TASER units if needed.
Reloading itself is simple to do. Just take out the used cartridge portion, pop in the new one, and once again the TASER device is ready to keep you safe. Although TASER brand devices work pretty much in the same manner, it is important to remember that replacement cartridges are not interchangeable. Instead, each model has electric packs that are specifically designed for use with that model only.
As you are considering the electric charges, make sure your TASER brand device never runs out of power! Advanced TASER devices run on standard AA batteries, and it is a good idea to have four of them on hand. In the alternative, using rechargeable lithium batteries and routinely charging them is a great way to be prepared. TASER C2 guns work with a lithium power magazine that is also rechargeable. Having a second one on hand, just in case you forgot to recharge the unit, is always a good idea.
